Belgian or French circa 1855, with round 4 1/2in. barrel, octagonal barrel throat relief engraved with floral panels and scroll engraving extending onto the barrel, further random panels of floral engraving to both the open iron frame and the barrel mount, blued fully fluted cylinder with relief floral engraving over each chamber, one of the flutes signed 'A CHATNEUX IN UP BTE', beaded band engraved to outer edge of recoil shield, spurred hammer, guarded trigger, plunge ejector and fitted with finely chequered ebony grips, strong amount of original finish remaining
